Approach

Dr. Rosenthal tailors her treatment approach to each patient’s needs and goals. Using her training in both adult and in child & adolescent psychiatry, she formulates a comprehensive treatment plan. Dr. Rosenthal has a special interest in working with individuals who are going through life changes, whether adolescents coping with a parent’s divorce or adults navigating career or relational transitions.

Dr. Rosenthal draws upon her additional training in mindfulness, trauma treatment, dynamic therapy, and cognitive therapy to treat her patients. She uses psychotherapy and medication management to help patients along their path. Due to Dr. Rosenthal’s limited private practice availability, she is only able to treat a select number of patients at a time in her private practice.

Dr. Rosenthal sees patients virtually and in-person in New York through Central Park Psychiatry, PLLC.

Psychodynamic Psychotherapy

In dynamic therapy, the therapist and patient explore the past and present. The goal is to uncover and examine unresolved issues from the past that can provide insight into present-day struggles.

Cognitive Therapy

Cognitive therapy is based upon challenging and changing one’s own thoughts, beliefs, and emotions. Cognitive therapies can be especially helpful for symptoms of anxiety, OCD, and trauma.

Medication Management

Medication can also be helpful in decreasing symptoms and distress related to mental health. Dr. Rosenthal works with patients to figure out a tailored medication regimen that is right for themselves, their goals, and their lifestyles.
